Product details
The AR Box (Almost Real) 1:64 BMW Isetta TBC Set – Boring White bridges the gap between 1950s microcar heritage and contemporary streetwear art. Released as #80 (SKU: 630310011) in the acclaimed AR Box lineup, this special cross-brand collaboration with The Boring Concept (TBC) reimagines the classic BMW Isetta Feuerwehr (fire service) utility vehicle through TBC’s signature desaturated cream palette. Adorned with the iconic deadpan “bored face” across its front-opening door, black paint-drip window accents, and a towed four-wheel traffic cone trailer on a matching graphic display base, this set radiates effortless attitude. Adding to the excitement for collectors, the release features two randomly inserted secret variants—a Color-Chrome Chase and an electroplated Gold-Chrome Super Chase traffic cone trailer!

About the Car: The BMW Isetta 250 / 300 “Bubble Car”
Originally designed by Italian scooter and refrigerator manufacturer Iso SpA in 1953, the egg-shaped Isetta (“little Iso”) was licensed by BMW in 1955 at a critical turning point in the Bavarian automaker’s post-war recovery. Re-engineered by BMW to house a 247cc (and later 298cc) single-cylinder, four-stroke motorcycle engine producing 12 to 13 horsepower, the BMW Isetta could reach a top speed of 85 km/h (53 mph) while sipping just 3.3 liters of fuel per 100 km.
Its most famous engineering quirk was its single front-mounted door: when opened, the steering column and instrument cluster swung outward along with the door to allow the driver and passenger easy access to the bench seat. Between 1955 and 1962, BMW produced 161,728 units, making the beloved “Bubble Car” the world’s top-selling single-cylinder automobile of its era and saving BMW from financial collapse. Due to its ultra-compact footprint and nimble handling, specialized utility conversions—such as German municipal Feuerwehr (fire brigade) support vehicles fitted with roof-mounted ladders and equipment racks—served in narrow European town centers, inspiring the playful silhouette of this AR Box 1:64 casting.
