The McLaren 600LT is the definitive expression of the McLaren Sports Series, pushed to the absolute limit. To earn the “Longtail” badge, a name steeped in McLaren’s racing heritage, the 600LT was put on a strict diet, shedding 96kg (211.6 lbs) from the 570S. This was achieved through extensive use of carbon fiber, including the chassis, and the adoption of lightweight Alcantara in the cabin. Its most defining and audacious feature, however, is its top-exit exhaust system. These “flamethrower” exhausts not only provide a visceral soundtrack but also enhance aerodynamic downforce by directing hot air over the fixed rear wing. With 592 horsepower from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, the 600LT is a pure, unadulterated track weapon.
