About the Car

The NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune represents the absolute apex of the Skyline lineage, created to celebrate NISMO’s 20th anniversary in 2004. With R34 production already ended, NISMO hand-purchased 19 immaculate, low-mileage V-Spec used cars and stripped them to the bare chassis for a complete rebuild. The heart of the Z-tune is the conceptually derived “Z2” engine—a hand-built 2.8-liter RB26DETT inline-six featuring a strengthened block, forged internals, and upgraded twin IHI turbochargers, reliably producing 500 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. Combined with extensive carbon fiber bodywork, Sachs suspension, and Brembo brakes, the Z-tune was not just a road car, but a track-focused weapon engineered to dominate the Nürburgring and redefine street-legal performance.
